Doll Profiles
Ball-Jointed Dolls are, as the name implies, dolls with joints. They are made of resin, and exist in a great variety of sizes (my Dawn, for example, is about 43cm, whereas the others are around 60cm). These dolls are intended to be customized by the owner, as you can change wigs, eyes, make-up and parts. They are produced in several doll companies in Asia, and for the most part can only be purchased online, unless you live there. Click below to see my BJDs! ![]()
Pullips are fully articulated plastic dolls created in Korea by Chunsang Chunha and marketed by Jun Planning. They are around 30cm tall, and aren't as easily customizeable as BJDs are, though it's certainly not impossible to do so. They have an eye-mechanism that allows you to change their eye positioning. Pullips can be bought online in several websites, and sometimes can be found in stores like FAO Schwarz. Click below to see my Pullips! ![]()
Blythes were first manufactured by Kenner in 1972, and are now owned by Hasbro. They are small, plastic dolls known for their huge eyes that will change as you pull the string in the back of their heads. Blythe owners and collectors often re-root their hairs and change their eyechips, creating really unique dolls. You can learn more about Blythes here. Click below to see my Blythe! ![]()
